Project Manager Investments

What can you expect from the positon?

 

This position is responsible for the complete driving of the investment project according to consistent routines and processes, from the Capex budget preparation until the individual projects execution. PMI sees to that the projects are being performed according to NKT standards and/or according to contractual requirements of individual requestors including the Legal requirement of NKT. Once the Project Manager has been assigned to a project with a framework for the budget, time schedule and mission statement, the Project Manager has the mandate to take the necessary decisions to meet the project objectives. The Project Manager has mainly, but not limited to, the following responsibilities:

 

  • Continuously monitor and evaluate Health, Safety and Environmental issues
  • Follow the project methodology for investments - PMFI
  • Maintain and report the plant Capex Budget, monitor and protect the assigned project budget and regularly follow up with a forecast
  • Involve the certain departments and provide the support within the IAR process.
  • Analyze and prevent project risks continuously
  • Plan the project, develop and follow up the time schedule
  • Drive the project according to agreed targets regarding technical scope, agreed time schedule and budget. Report and escalate urgently if any of the targets will be changed or not will be fulfilled.
  • Secure the work environmental responsibilities for the construction phase as well as the future utility/operational stage already at the planning and design phase.
  • Coordinate assigned projects with other projects and the line organization.
  • Report the results of the project to the line organization regularly.
  • Manage the asset capitalization process and make sure that is in progress
  • Support and act as technology department support on given tasks

 

 

What do we expect from the candidate?

 

To be successful in this role, you should be able to prove leadership qualities and analytical mindset, understanding of the financial consequences (project- and company related) of different project decisions and be able to quickly adapt to project department needs – flexibility. Also we expect you to be:

 

  • Feeling for company needs
  • Coordinator of different tasks
  • Good technical understanding of production machinery
  • Good skills in time schedule development
  • Team player and open minded
  • Diploma or Master degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering or similar education
  • Experienced as project engineer / in project management
  • Good skills in Microsoft Office, MS Outlook
  • Good skills in time schedule development
  • English (min. B1 level), German is a plus
