Senior Manager HSE Germany (m/f/d)

As Senior Manager HSE Germany (m/f/d), you will lead the activities regarding occupational safety, health and environmental protection of our German sites and the construction sites in Germany and abroad that are managed from there. From the first customer contact during our projects to the planning and production of our cable systems to the construction site, you live and drive our HSE philosophy.

 

You will be responsible for the following aspects: 

We Care: On your agenda will be the definition, implementation and control of the local HSE strategy to minimize hazards for our employees and external parties. To this end, you will lead a highly motivated team of specialists in occupational safety, health and environmental protection, fire protection, contractor management, projects, management systems and the plant medical service. From the first customer contact in the quotation phase to the detailed planning in the project, you and your team provide input into HSE management plans. During the production of our cable systems in the Cologne plant, you will accompany the respective supervisors in ensuring that all HSE requirements are met. During subsequent construction activities up to the commissioning of our cable systems, you and your team will be the first point of contact in HSE matters. Further key tasks are:

  • Support in the assessment of hazards, identification of corrective measures and coordination of their implementation
  • Comparison of the current status with valid legal and group requirements
  • Incident investigations and identification of measures
  • Development of programs for preventive health care and environmental protection
  • Representation of NKT in internal and external bodies, committees and working groups
  • Further development and auditing, as well as ensuring external certification of HSE management systems 450001, 50001, 14001, SCC and SCL

   
To connect a greener world, you should have the following skills and experience:
In addition to leadership experience, you have a completed technical or scientific degree (preferably safety engineering or mechanical engineering, process engineering, environmental engineering, chemical engineering, chemistry or physics) and hold the qualification "Occupational Safety Specialist". Ideally, your profile is rounded off by further qualifications in the fields of environment, waste, immission control, fire protection and as an auditor. In addition, you have several years of professional experience as a senior occupational safety specialist in a manufacturing environment. Further important qualifications are:

  • Very good MS-Office skills
  • Fluent German and English, both written and spoken
  • Strong safety, cost and quality awareness
  • Strong communication skills across all hierarchical levels
