Risk Manager (m/f/d) Offshore & HVDC Cable Projects

You will be responsible for the following aspects: 

 

In this challenging role, you will oversee risk management processes and tools for complex high voltage cable systems diverse projects in Offshore & HVDC businesses. Our project teams are counting on you that you will facilitate effective business decisions by identifying and communicating commercial and financial risks and opportunities from business propositions.

  • Analyze the risk patterns incl. “lessons learned” and defines/develops conceptual framework for project risk management
  • Support other Group Functions in formulating and implementing Group instructions related to Tender Phase and Project Execution. Maintains instructions for tenders and execution.
  • Implements and further develops tools supporting risk management processes including risk review processes and project execution.
  • Drives continuous project risk management training, delivering both personally and through designated trainers.
  • Ensures coordination of activities and sharing of information between key stakeholders and personnel involved in risk management processes.
  • Owns the risk review process, ensuring timely and proper preparation of risk review material and leads risk review meetings.
  • Promotes use of standard project execution tool(s) and monitors completeness and quality of information on an on-going basis.
  • Introduces and maintains key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor critical developments in risk management and project execution.
  • Provides special analysis as required, e.g. margin development/transparency, risk exposure or project plans and specific documents relevant to risk management within the project and offer phases.

  

Your background:

  • Master’s degree in legal, commercial or technical field or comparable professional education.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in bids, risk reviews, processes, negotiations and/or contract management for complex (international) projects, preferably in relevant industries.
  • Strong commercial, negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Broad experiences in Risk Mitigation and related processes.
  • General knowledge of contract law and contraction formation process.
  • Extensive IT skills including all relevant Microsoft Office applications.
  • High degree of reliability and an ability to work well under pressure.
  • Team player with strong communication skills who can collaborate with all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English and German oral and written.
