Sales Manager Accessories



Lead HV/EHV XLPE and HV/EHV Oil & Gas Accessory Sales in NKT North American’s Journey!

Working closely with our international customers, NKT develops, manufactures and installs efficient and technologically advanced low to extra-high voltage cables and cable accessories, playing a key role in the green transformation. 


Drive the accessories business expansion in North America


As Sales Manager Accessories, you are responsible for building a recurring customer network and growing our North-American onshore accessory business in line with our business plan and sales budget.


In this role, you are required to work independently and to manage various stakeholders and projects or initiatives simultaneously. Your capacity to embrace new and challenging tasks and adjust to fast-paced and changing working environments and/or market circumstances is key. You will interface with external clients, suppliers, government agencies as well as internal business partners. You should also have a modern and inclusive leadership style and we will place emphasis on your personal characteristics for this recruitment.


Besides the above your primary tasks will be to:


  • Execute NKT Sales and Installation’s market entry strategy
  • Prospect new service sales opportunities in the HV/EHV XLPE and HV/EHV Oil & Gas cable accessory markets
  • Advise and assist in development of product portfolio especially from the North American Market perspective
  • Manage key accounts and develop business with existing customers
  • Take part in developing the global sales organization through continuous improvements
  • Generate leads for Service & Installation and for other business lines Organize and execute client trainings with support from European corporate office
  • Possibly manage a team of sales representatives


We look for a customer focused and result driven Sales Manager

To thrive in this role, you must have industry related experience from MV, HV and/or EHV cable service providers, cable manufacturers or cable accessories suppliers working for US based utilities.


You must be result driven with high impact orientation, are a relationship builder, have strong customer and service focus and have a technical and practical mindset. You should have good understanding of contract law.


You have a structured work ethic and good analytical ability. You have a strong sense of responsibility and thrive in the role of project manager. Furthermore, you enjoy working in teams and having a large network of contacts.


Additionally, your CV includes:

  • Either post-secondary education and 3 years B2B front end sales or 10 years of B2B front end sales
  • A bachelor’s degree in (electrical) engineering or business administration is an advantage
  • Experienced user of MS Office
  • Fluency in spoken and written English
  • Be eligible to work in the US with ability to travel domestically and internationally
