Senior Sales & Business Development Manager

Drive the Onshore and Offshore Service & Installation business expansion in North America

As Senior Sales and Business Development Manager you will lead the sales and business development activities for NKT’s onshore and offshore Service and Installation business in North America. You will be responsible for creating a market capture plan in line with the market entry strategy, building and managing a customer network, meeting the sales budget and defining the future service and product portfolio for the North American market.


In this role, you are required to work independently and manage various stakeholders and projects or initiatives simultaneously. A thorough understanding of the market, a capacity to embrace new and challenging tasks and a willingness to adjust to fast-paced and changing working environments and/or market circumstances are key to succeed.


 In addition to the above your primary tasks will be to:


  • Execute and adopt the market entry strategy for NKT Service & Installation
  • Look for new sales opportunities in the onshore  and offshore Service & Installation markets:
    • Onshore: set up and managing onshore framework agreements for EPCI contracting with local utilities
    • Offshore: Set up and manage Service Level Agreements for existing on interconnectors and wind export cables
  • Advise and assist in development of local Service & Installation products, service portfolio, organization, equipment and capabilities
  • Manage and develop business with existing customers
  • Be accountable for tendering of small and medium size opportunities
  • Envision large opportunities and play a key role in tender works, in collaboration with global Service & Installation tender team


We look for an experienced and entrepreneurial Sales and Business Development Manager


With your background and personality, you will contribute to the team with market knowledge and a strategic mindset. You are social, relatable and have a strong customer focus. You are result driven and have a pro-active and entrepreneurial outlook. You can rely on for your strong experience in working at MV/HV/ EHV cable service providers, cable manufacturers, cable accessories suppliers or other cable service and product suppliers working for US based utility industry. You have a sense of responsibility with robust quality and safety approach.


Your qualifications include: 

  • Post-secondary education (bachelor degree or higher in engineering or business administration a plus)
  • Minimum 10 years of B2B experience front end sales
  • Experienced user of MS Office
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Eligible to work in the US with ability to travel domestically and internationally
  • Experience of a leadership role with P&L responsibilities the cable industry a plus
