The Financial Compliance team is an integrated part of Group Finance and an important contributor to the wider Finance community. The team is responsible for Financial Compliance across the entire NKT Group. Primary responsibilities


As Head of Financial Compliance, you will lead the financial compliance effort, assisted by your dedicated team member located in Kaunas. Your main tasks and responsibilities include:


  • Own and maintain the NKT Financial Compliance Framework and Governance setup, including:
    • Financial Compliance policies
    • Financial Statement Risk Assessment and Process Risk Assessment update, leading to Control Environment definition and implementation
    • Manage the Internal Control Environment through:
      • Defining, setup, training and implementation of:
        • NKT Internal Control System (Impero),
        • OneStream Account Reconciliations, and
      • Compliance visits to sites (planning, execution, reporting and remediation)
  • Control Environment monitoring and reporting to Group CFO as well as the Audit Committee
  • Advance our digital control environment, focusing on strengthened segregation of duties and IT controls
  • Lead the financial compliance team, which currently comprise one specialist in Kaunas
  • Finance Process Subject Matter Expert
  • ERM champion for Finance Area


In practise this means your role will be the centre of excellence for the NKT financial compliance setup, which requires great skills in stakeholder management. Obviously, financial compliance is critical to a listed company as NKT. However, an equal important part of this role is the continuous improvement mindset and the willingness to help colleagues advance the control environment through your firm guidance, consultation and collaboration. Consequently the role also requires a great deal of firm hands-on to ensure the continuous development, including:


  • OneStream Account Reconciliation administration and monitoring
  • NKT Internal control administration and monitoring
  • Account reconciliation and internal control training/workshops facilitation
  • Compliance review planning, completion, reporting and follow up
  • Auditor’s Management Letter follow up
  • Organizational support in various matters within Shared Service Centre, local entities and Group functions, including finance process continues improvements, standardization and automation
  • Supporting Fraud investigations in finance process matters


You will be reporting to the SVP, Head of Group Finance. Your base will be the NKT Brøndby HQ just outside Copenhagen and some limited travel activities to be expected.


What qualifications we are looking for


In order to be successful, we expect you hold a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Financial Management, Accounting or a similar field. Additionally, the following professional qualifications applies:

  • Previous experience managing a team, ideally both with functional and matrix management
  • Proven change management experience, increasing quality of work
  • Experience from an international organisation, manufacturing would be an advantage
  • SAP knowledge would be an advantage
