Sr Financial Analyst

The role is centrally placed in our headquarter in the Copenhagen area , and it will cover the entire Financial Planning & Analysis area which centers around group forecasting & planning processes, analytical special assignments like M&A, framing business plans, implementation of KPIs for performance management, participation in performance review meetings – and in general bringing financial insights and deep data understanding to many special tasks to help the business. The role is central in engaging in analytical tasks or projects across the entire organization and with direct interactions at EVP level.   

Important tasks are also to work closely with the business lines on analytics to improve profitability, cash flow or strategic positioning and facilitate group management/board decision insights. 



Key responsibilities
 

  • Financial planning, short and long term; become a core resource in the execution of our new Rolling forecast model
  • Performance management; Business and leadership engagement through KPIs and data transparency 
  • Financial transparency; enable the business to understand financial impact short and long term
  • Monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting against forecasts and strategic plans
  • Building forecasts
  • Participating in ad hoc analytics where financial insights are needed, this could include major investments, scenario analysis and business portfolio development 
  • Future proofing the above through persistent focus on standardization, automation and data transparency 
  • Investment optimization
  • Drive scenario analysis and “what-if” analysis
  • Prepare investment analysis (business cases incl. pressure testing)
  • Involved in larger investment and business development projects 


 

Qualifications

 

Ideally, we are looking for a colleague with +5 years of experience to hold the role of Senior Financial Analyst. But if you have 2-5 years in a similar role, or from within consultancy, you could also be an interesting candidate and we will ensure you grow into the senior role. The ideal candidate holds a MSC or MBA focused on Business, Finance or Economics or can have different background where financial modeling and reporting is required.  

The ideal candidate should possess the following experience and competences: 
 

  • Strong Financial toolbox and ideally a strong IT acumen
  • Solid capabilities in Excel modeling and the skillset to translate numbers into winning PowerPoint presentations  
  • The right candidate could have a background from similar positions in industrial companies or consultancy firms; corporate finance from Banking could also be a way into the role
