Procurement Category Lead, Production Related Materials and Facility Management

As Procurement Category Lead for Professional Production Related Materials and Facility Management in Group Procurement you will be at the centre of our efforts in efficiently procuring materials, equipment and energy needed for the production of our cables globally as well as for the commercial setup of our facility management.

In this high-profile role, you will be exposed broadly to the organization at all levels, working with both HQ in Broendby and all our production sites. You are expected to possess the needed curiosity, natural authority and strategic Procurement skills to engage effectively with the business and together with them, define meaningful sourcing solutions and setting the direction for the category going forward. 

 

Effectively, you will be the partner to the business on sourcing solutions for Production Related Materials and Facility Management, having the full end-to-end responsibility.


Your primary responsibilities will be to:

  • Be the supply market expert, maintaining an up to date view on the supply market, the options available
  • Build and maintain stakeholder relations
  • Develop and regularly update the category strategy
  • Continuously develop the supplier portfolio to match the increasing requirements
  • Drive supplier relationship management
  • Negotiate frame agreements, supply agreements, price agreements
  • Execute on Procurement projects, cost-out opportunities and drive value creation
  • Drive the transformation agenda, develop and mature the category, improve ways of working, value creation and exploit new technologies and tools

Who we are:
You will be a part of the direct materials team within the multi-national Group Procurement organisation, headquartered in Broendby, Copenhagen. You will report directly to the Head of Category Management.

Stakeholder collaboration, strategic flair and ability to engage and execute

Some of the keys to succeeding in this role will be to engage effectively with internal stakeholders across borders and cultures, understand the busines needs and translate these into sourcing solutions – and executing on these. Also, you will need to be able to commercially work your way through a multi-item category, utilizing available resources in the organization where relevant and working with other Procurement functions.


You have commercial and strategic flair and are able to maintain the big picture overview in a workday which can be busy from time to time, but certainly also fun and rewarding.

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Commercially oriented M.Sc. degree
  • Minimum 5-10 years category management experience within an international organization, and/or consultancy experience with proven track record in generating valuable business results
  • Proven supplier relationship management skills and experience
  • High level proficiency in English - both verbal and written
  • Structured, positive and constructive mindset
  • Strong communication skills
  • Solid references

 

Expected travel days are 15-30 days/year. This will primarily be across Europe. This position can be based out of both Copenhagen (DK), Cologne (DE) or Karlskrona (SE) area.
