As Procurement Category Lead for PE you will be at the centre of our efforts in producing world-class low, medium and high voltage cables at our plants currently located throughout Europe, enabling the green transition. We use a large number of advanced materials and compounds and they are key in designing and producing best-in-class cables and spend is significant.

In this high-profile role, you will be exposed broadly to the organization on all levels, working with e.g. material specialists, Product Management, Sales, Senior Management and other Procurement teams.

You are expected to possess the needed curiosity, natural authority and commercial Procurement skills to engage effectively with the business and together with them, define meaningful sourcing solutions and setting the direction for the PE category going forward.


Effectively, you will be the partner to the business on PE sourcing solutions, having the full end-to-end responsibility.

Your primary responsibilities will be to:

  • Be the supply market expert, maintaining an up to date view on the supply market and the relevant options available
  • Build and maintain stakeholder relations
  • Develop and regularly update the category strategy
  • Continuously develop the supplier portfolio to match the increasing requirements
  • Drive supplier relationship management and key supplier partnerships
  • Negotiate frame agreements, supply agreements, price agreements
  • Execute on Procurement projects, cost-out opportunities and drive value creation
  • Drive the transformation agenda, develop and mature the category, improve ways of working, value creation and exploit new technologies and tools

Who we are:
You will be a part of the direct materials team within the multi-national Group Procurement organisation, headquartered in Broendby, Copenhagen. You will report directly to the Head of Direct Spend Category Management.

Stakeholder collaboration, strategic flair and ability to engage and execute

Some of the keys to succeeding in this role will be to engage effectively with internal stakeholders across borders and cultures, and challenge constructively when needed. It is key to be able to understand the busines needs and translate these into sourcing solutions – and executing on these. Also, you will need to be able to navigate effectively across business lines in a growing international organization where priorities can be both short- and long term.

You have commercial and strategic flair and are able to maintain the big picture overview in a workday which can be busy from time to time, but certainly also fun and rewarding.


Preferred qualifications:

  • Commercially oriented M.Sc. degree
  • Minimum 10 years category management experience within an international organization, and/or consultancy experience with proven track record in generating sustainable business results
  • Experience from the plastics industry is a plus, but not a requirement
  • Proven supplier relationship management skills and experience
  • High level proficiency in English - both verbal and written
  • Structured, positive and constructive mindset
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Solid references


Expected travel days are 15-30 days/year. This will primarily be across Europe.
