NKT is looking for a Financial Controller to join the Group Reporting & Controlling team at our Head Quarter in Brøndby, Copenhagen area. We cover a wide field in our team and this position is right for you, if you are interested in a broad area of responsibility and great impact across the organization.


Drive process improvements and ensure accurate financial reporting

Together with the team, you will ensure accurate Group financial reporting and drive global reporting processes including training finance colleagues and general improvement of processes. You will report to the Head of Group Reporting & Controlling and work globally in close collaboration with stakeholders in our Business Lines, Shared Service Centre, Financial Planning & Analysis, Tax, Treasury and Investor Relations.


Your primary tasks will be:

  • Preparing the Audit Committee material, including ensuring all stakeholders have provided relevant input
  • Provide advisory to Business Lines and Shared Service Centre in Lithuania on accounting and financial reporting related matters
  • Being a key driver of financial controlling by creating transparency and consistency across all Business Lines in a timely manner
  • Driving improvements for the financial reporting process – from local entities to Group reporting
  • Prepare and maintain accounting and reporting policies and procedures
  • Participate in the development and continuous strengthening of the internal controls and processes related to financial reporting
  • Communicate and explain the numbers to various stakeholders within and outside finance
  • Build and maintain close relationship with internal stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Drive and support various efficiency and optimization programs


Self-driven personality with solid accounting toolbox and IFRS experience

In order to succeed in this role, you must be self-driven and have a can-do attitude. Further, strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative mind-set are needed. Being the centre of excellence on accounting matters, strong financial and analytical skills are of course required. You are proactive and thrive in a changing environment as we are partly a project driven business. Therefore new tasks may suddenly come to us, and we need to be ready for changes. Finally, we appreciate a good sense of humour.


You may have started your career in the audit world, and subsequently have at least +2 years of experience in a similar role. Preferably, you have worked in listed companies before, and are familiar with the requirements and processes for these. Most importantly, you have a solid accounting toolbox and can explain difficult accounting terminologies for stakeholders and colleagues with other backgrounds. Prior experience with IFRS is a high advance.


We use OneStream for consolidation and SAP as ERP system, why knowledge of these are an advantage. Further, solid experience in Microsoft Office is needed.
