Operational Buyer

Ensuring all day-to-day procurement activities and material availability
We are now looking for an operational buyer with experience in purchasing, logistics or supply chain management, and take responsibility for ensuring material availability and stock optimization based on the prevailing production rate and material needs.
It will be beneficial if also have a technical interest and you know what it means to handle many processes and cases at the same time. Your working location is in our site our production plant in Asnæs. You will be part of a team of planners and buyers and report to our Supply Chain Manager in Asnæs.

 

Your primary tasks include

 

  • Understand user requirements and leverage the applicable Category Handbook and use your sourcing knowledge to determine the best route to market and tools available for execution.
  • Generate purchase orders based on material needs.
  • Delivery monitoring to ensure material availability.
  • Work together with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs and other internal / external stakeholders to ensure quality, costs and delivery plans.
  • Ensure the transactional component of the procurement process is delivered and that handovers between process steps are effective and efficient, and contribute to continuous improvement of processes and activities
  • Ensure operational targets and KPIs on customer service are tracked and delivered.

 

 

Disciplined and process-oriented personality
You work in a structured and meticulous manner and you find it easy to see situations from a helicopter perspective. To fit into the role, you also need to be flexible in combination with analytical with a well-developed ability to assess and prioritize based on given information and conditions. You enjoy having many contact surfaces both internally and externally, and your collaboration skills and communication abilities are profound.

Further your cv will preferably comprise:

 

  • Experience with calculations, analysis and forecasting work
  • Good knowledge of SAP and Excel
  • Fluency in English
